The A414 runs behind the pub, parallel to Castle St. Take the turning towards the town centre and almost immediately turn left. We do not have a car park - but both sides of the road can be used for parking in the evening.
By Bus
The town’s bus station is less than 10 minutes’ walk from the pub.
By Train
The pub is within walking distance of both the local mainline stations, Hertford North and Hertford East. These stations each serve different routes into London.

As well as the grounds of Hertford Castle just over the road, there are a number of other local attractions within easy walking distance of the pub. The town’s museum is less than 10 minutes away, as is the turning circle for barges on the River Lee. Hertford Theatre and cinema are closer still, about 5 minutes’ walk away – as is Hertford’s excellent Saturday market.
